Tata Motors Sees Surge in Call Option Activity with 15,868 Contracts at Rs 650 Strike

Tata Motors Ltd., a prominent player in the Automobiles - Passenger Cars sector, has emerged as one of the most active stocks today, reflecting significant trading activity in its call options. The stock, currently valued at Rs 649.05, has shown a notable performance with a 3.89% increase over the past four days. Today, it reached an intraday high of Rs 644.95, marking a 2.24% rise.
In the options market, Tata Motors has seen substantial trading volumes for call options expiring on April 24, 2025. The call option with a strike price of Rs 640 recorded the highest activity, with 14,716 contracts traded and a turnover of Rs 448.18 lakhs. Following closely, the Rs 650 strike price option saw 15,868 contracts traded, generating a turnover of Rs 284.04 lakhs. Additionally, the Rs 660 strike price option had 9,280 contracts traded, contributing Rs 94.31 lakhs to the turnover.

Despite the stock's recent gains, there has been a decline in investor participation, with delivery volume dropping by 14.71% compared to the five-day average. The stock remains liquid, with a trading capacity of Rs 15.76 crore based on 2% of the five-day average traded value. Overall, Tata Motors continues to attract attention in the market, reflecting its strong position within the large-cap segment, with a market capitalization of Rs 2,36,692.32 crore.
