Hindustan Copper Sees Significant Surge in Open Interest Amid Active Market Participation

Hindustan Copper Ltd, a prominent player in the non-ferrous metal industry, has experienced a notable increase in open interest today. The latest open interest stands at 25,356 contracts, reflecting a rise of 3,329 contracts or 15.11% from the previous open interest of 22,027. This surge in open interest comes alongside a trading volume of 19,402 contracts, indicating active participation in the market.
In terms of financial metrics, Hindustan Copper's performance today aligns closely with its sector, with a slight decline of 0.10% in its stock price. The stock has shown resilience, maintaining values higher than its 5-day, 20-day, and 50-day moving averages, although it remains below its 100-day and 200-day moving averages. The delivery volume has also seen a significant uptick, with 49 lakh shares delivered on March 25, marking a 24.98% increase compared to the 5-day average.

With a market capitalization of Rs 22,638 crore, Hindustan Copper continues to demonstrate liquidity, supporting trade sizes of approximately Rs 4.69 crore based on 2% of the 5-day average traded value. This increase in open interest and trading activity underscores the stock's current market dynamics.
