State Bank of India has recently experienced a revision in its score by MarketsMojo, reflecting adjustments in its evaluation. Despite strong lending practices and impressive long-term growth, the stock's current valuation appears elevated. The bank remains a dominant player in the public sector, outperforming key market indices.
State Bank of India, one of the largest public banks in India, has recently experienced a revision in its score by MarketsMOJO. This adjustment reflects the bank's robust lending practices, highlighted by a low Gross NPA ratio of 2.76%. The institution has demonstrated impressive long-term growth, evidenced by an annual net profit growth rate of 54.33%, and has reported positive results for the last three consecutive quarters.

From a technical perspective, State Bank of India is currently positioned within a mildly bullish range, with both MACD and KST indicators signaling a bullish trend. The bank also boasts a significant institutional holding of 34.82%, suggesting that institutional investors, who typically have more resources and analytical capabilities, have confidence in the bank's fundamentals.

In terms of market performance, State Bank of India has outperformed the BSE 500 index over various time frames, including the last three years, one year, and three months. With a market capitalization of Rs 7,48,196 crore, it stands as the largest entity in the public banking sector, accounting for 44.29% of the sector's total market cap. Its annual sales of Rs 443,172.95 crore represent 37.72% of the industry.
