Indian Stock Market Gains Momentum with Upcoming Results and Strong Small Cap Performance
Today, the Indian stock market is displaying strength with the SENSEX trading at 74,100.35, up by 0.27%. This can be attributed to the upcoming results of major companies like T R I L, TCS, and Anand Rathi Wealth. After a slight dip in the morning, the SENSEX has recovered and is currently trading above its 50-day moving average (DMA), with the 50 DMA also trading above the 200 DMA. This indicates a bullish trend in the market, with small cap stocks leading the way with a gain of 1.22%.
Out of the 40 sectors, 32 are advancing while only 8 are declining, with the BSE IT sector being the top gainer at 1.23%. On the other hand, the NIFTYREALTY sector is the top loser at -1.72%.
Large cap stocks are trading flat today, with Varun Beverages being the top gainer at 4.25%. In the mid cap segment, Laurus Labs is the top gainer at 6.53%, while Capri Global leads the small cap segment with a gain of 15.17%. On the other hand, AU Small Finance, Macrotech Devel., and Ashapura Minech. are the top losers in their respective segments.
The advance-decline ratio across BSE500 is at 2.04x, with 335 advances and 164 declines. The SMLCAP and MIDCAP segments are rising by 1.23% and 0.62% respectively, while the BSE100 segment is up by 0.26%.
In the BSE500 index, Capri Global is the top gainer at 15.17%, followed by Mazagon Dock at 10.83% and Jindal Worldwide at 9.11%. On the other hand, Macrotech Devel., Godrej Propert., and Oberoi Realty are the top losers at -3.32%, -3.16%, and -2.56% respectively.
