Zodiac Energy Reports Strong Q3 FY24-25 Growth Amid Rising Interest Expenses

Zodiac Energy, a microcap player in the engineering and industrial equipment sector, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024. The results indicate a very positive performance for Q3 FY24-25, showcasing significant growth in key financial metrics.
Net sales reached Rs 104.33 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 122.36%. Profit Before Tax (PBT) also demonstrated strong performance, amounting to Rs 7.18 crore, which is an 82.23% increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 5.71 crore, marking a substantial year-on-year growth of 93.6%. Operating Profit (PBDIT) reached its highest level in the last five quarters at Rs 10.32 crore, indicating a positive trend in operational efficiency.

However, the financial results also highlight some challenges. Interest expenses for the half-year period rose to Rs 3.72 crore, up 66.82% from the previous half-year, suggesting increased borrowing costs. Furthermore, the ratio of Operating Profit to Interest has declined to 3.97 times, indicating a shift in the company's ability to manage its interest obligations.

In light of these developments, Zodiac Energy has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, with its score reflecting these changes.
