Unitech's Q1 FY25 Financial Results Show Decline in Sales and Profits

Unitech, a smallcap real estate company, recently declared its financial results for the quarter ending March 2024. According to the latest report, the company’s stock has been given a ‘Sell’ call by MarketsMOJO.

The financial performance of Unitech for the quarter has remained flat, with a score of -1, showing a slight improvement from the previous quarter’s score of -5. However, there are some concerning factors that have affected the company’s performance.

One of the major concerns is the decline in net sales, which have fallen by 37.7% to Rs 74.32 crore compared to the average net sales of the previous four quarters, which stood at Rs 119.32 crore. This indicates a negative trend in the company’s sales in the near term.

Similarly, the profit before tax (PBT) has also seen a decline of 26.1% to Rs -1,217.25 crore compared to the average PBT of the previous four quarters, which was Rs -965.27 crore. The profit after tax (PAT) has also shown a negative trend, with a decline of 29.4% to Rs -1,075.89 crore compared to the average PAT of the previous four quarters, which was Rs -831.67 crore.

Another concerning factor is the company’s operating profit to interest ratio, which is at its lowest in the last five quarters at -1.28 times. This indicates that Unitech’s ability to manage interest payments is deteriorating.

Overall, the financial results for the quarter ending March 2024 have not been favorable for Unitech. Investors are advised to take note of these factors before making any investment decisions.
