Transport Corporation of India Reports Strong Q3 Growth Amid Debtors Turnover Concerns

Transport Corporation of India, a midcap player in the logistics industry, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024. The results indicate a positive trajectory in several key areas. Notably, net sales reached Rs 1,147.10 crore, marking the highest figure in the last five quarters. This upward trend is mirrored in the operating profit, which also peaked at Rs 118.50 crore during the same period.
The profit before tax (PBT) demonstrated significant growth, recorded at Rs 104.60 crore, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 28.34%. Similarly, the profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 100.90 crore, with a year-on-year growth of 27.1%. These figures suggest a robust performance in the near term.

However, the financial results also highlight a concern regarding the debtors turnover ratio, which has reached its lowest point at 6.34 times over the last five half-yearly periods. This indicates a slowdown in the company's pace of settling its debtors.

In light of these developments, Transport Corporation of India has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, with its score reflecting a change from 4 to 6 over the past three months.
