Tinna Rubber Reports Mixed Q3 Results Amid Declining Profitability Metrics

Tinna Rubber & Infrastructure has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, revealing a complex picture of performance within the small-cap rubber products industry. The company’s net sales reached Rs 122.68 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 31.89%, indicating a positive near-term sales trend. However, several key metrics suggest challenges ahead.
The operating profit margin has declined to 12.06%, marking the lowest level in the past five quarters, which points to a decrease in operational efficiency. Additionally, the operating profit, recorded at Rs 14.80 crore, is also at its lowest in the same timeframe. The company’s ability to manage interest payments has come under pressure, with the operating profit to interest ratio falling to 4.74 times, the weakest performance in five quarters.

Profit before tax, less other income, has decreased to Rs 10.37 crore, down 19.36% year-on-year, while profit after tax has also seen a decline, landing at Rs 8.16 crore, down 18.1% year-on-year. Furthermore, the earnings per share have reached Rs 4.76, the lowest in five quarters, indicating a reduction in profitability for shareholders.

In light of these developments, Tinna Rubber has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, with its score reflecting these shifts in performance metrics.
