Skipper Reports Strong Q3 Growth Amid Rising Interest Expenses and Mixed Trends

Skipper, a midcap player in the transmission towers industry, recently announced its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024. The evaluation changes reflect a notable shift, with the score adjusting from 32 to 29 over the past three months.
The financial data reveals several positive trends for Skipper. Net sales for the quarter reached Rs 1,135.25 crore, marking a year-on-year growth of 41.63%. Additionally, the operating profit to interest ratio has reached its highest point in five quarters at 2.23 times, indicating an improvement in the company's capacity to manage interest obligations. Profit Before Tax (PBT) also showed significant growth, with a quarterly figure of Rs 44.71 crore, up 66.83% year-on-year. The Profit After Tax (PAT) reached Rs 36.09 crore, reflecting a robust year-on-year increase of 76.3%.

On the other hand, some challenges are evident. Interest expenses have risen to Rs 156.43 crore over the preceding nine months, suggesting increased borrowing costs. Furthermore, while non-operating income has reached a five-quarter high of Rs 3.72 crore, its sustainability remains uncertain.
