PNC Infratech Reports Decline in Key Financial Metrics for December Quarter

PNC Infratech has reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, revealing notable challenges within its operations. The company has experienced a significant decline in key financial metrics compared to previous periods.
Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 1,470.01 crore, reflecting a substantial reduction from the average of Rs 2,060.34 crore over the last four quarters. Similarly, profit before tax less other income (PBT) was recorded at Rs 81.35 crore, marking a considerable drop from the average PBT of Rs 394.45 crore in the preceding quarters. Profit after tax (PAT) also saw a decline, reported at Rs 81.39 crore, down from an average of Rs 309.88 crore.

The company's operating profit to interest ratio has reached its lowest point in five quarters, indicating challenges in managing interest obligations. Additionally, interest expenses have risen, suggesting increased borrowings. The reliance on non-operating income has also become pronounced, comprising 34.15% of PBT, which raises concerns about the sustainability of the business model.

In light of these developments, PNC Infratech has undergone an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the current financial landscape.
