Marble City India Reports Strong Financial Metrics Amid Rising Interest Costs in December 2024

Marble City India has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, showcasing notable developments in its performance metrics. The company has experienced a positive shift in its evaluation, with its score reflecting a significant change over the past three months.
Key highlights from the financial results indicate that Marble City achieved its highest operating profit to interest ratio in the last five quarters, standing at 0.47 times. This suggests an enhanced capability to manage interest obligations. Additionally, the operating profit (PBDIT) reached Rs 1.23 crore, marking a consistent growth trend over the same period. The profit before tax (PBT) also showed improvement, recorded at Rs -1.63 crore, indicating a favorable trajectory.

On the sales front, Marble City reported net sales of Rs 27.44 crore for the half-year, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 21.69%. Furthermore, the profit after tax (PAT) reached its highest level in five quarters at Rs 0.21 crore, alongside an increase in earnings per share (EPS) to Rs 0.09.

However, the company faces challenges, including a rise in interest costs, which grew by 35.78% over the previous half-year, and a high proportion of non-operating income relative to PBT, raising concerns about sustainability.
