Indian Acrylics Reports Mixed Financial Results Amid Liquidity Concerns in December 2024

Indian Acrylics has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, revealing a complex picture of its performance. The company has experienced a notable adjustment in its evaluation, with its score shifting to -9 from -19 over the past three months.
On a positive note, the Profit Before Tax (PBT) reached its highest level in five quarters at Rs -6.13 crore, indicating a favorable near-term trend. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) also marked a peak at Rs -4.92 crore, suggesting an upward trajectory in profitability. Additionally, the Earnings per Share (EPS) improved to Rs -0.36, reflecting an increase in earnings for shareholders.

Conversely, Indian Acrylics faced challenges as well. The net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 96.36 crore, which represents a decline of 13.7% compared to the average of the previous four quarters. Furthermore, cash and cash equivalents fell to Rs 8.64 crore, the lowest in the last six half-yearly periods, indicating a tightening liquidity situation. The debt-equity ratio also reached a high of 8.94 times, suggesting increased reliance on borrowing for operational funding.
