Gokaldas Exports Reports Strong Q3 Growth Amid Rising Interest Costs and Sustainability Concerns

Gokaldas Exports, a midcap player in the textile industry, has reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, showcasing a notably positive performance. The company's score has undergone an adjustment in evaluation, reflecting a shift from -3 to 20 over the past three months.
In terms of financial metrics, Gokaldas Exports achieved net sales of Rs 987.77 crore, marking a significant year-on-year growth of 79.08%. This figure represents the highest quarterly sales recorded in the last five quarters, indicating a robust near-term sales trend. Profit Before Tax less Other Income (PBT) also saw a substantial increase, reaching Rs 54.31 crore, which is a 53.68% rise year-on-year and the highest in the same five-quarter period. Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 50.34 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 65.5% and also the highest in the last five quarters.

However, the company faces challenges, particularly with rising interest costs, which have increased by 81.54% over the preceding nine months, indicating higher borrowings. Additionally, non-operating income reached its peak at Rs 13.01 crore, raising questions about sustainability.
