Confidence Petroleum India has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, revealing a mixed performance landscape. The company has experienced a notable adjustment in its evaluation, with its score shifting to -3 from -16 over the past three months.

On the positive side, the Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter reached Rs 30.67 crore, reflecting a significant growth of 74.1% compared to the average PAT of the previous four quarters, which stood at Rs 17.62 crore. This marks the highest PAT recorded in the last five quarters, indicating a favorable near-term trend. Additionally, net sales for the half-year period amounted to Rs 1,443.03 crore, showcasing a year-on-year growth of 20.98%, further supporting a positive sales trend.

Conversely, there are areas of concern. The company's non-operating income constituted 56.24% of its Profit Before Tax (PBT), suggesting a reliance on income from non-business activities, which may not be sustainable. Furthermore, the debt-equity ratio has reached its highest level at 0.59 times in the last five half-year periods, indicating increased borrowing to fund operations. The debtors turnover ratio has also declined to its lowest point at 14.59 times, reflecting a slower pace in settling debts.
